| WHAT AGENTS CAN DO · DAILY PLAYBOOK |
| Issue #009 · Oct 23, 2026 · 4 min read |
My favorite one today is the guy in Albuquerque who handed Grok Bot a few photos of his parking ticket and said nothing else. It found grounds, built the evidence packet, emailed the city before the deadline, and the next morning the city said the ticket was being sent to be voided. That's the kind of chore most of us just pay and forget, and he never opened a browser. — Gary |

Ticket sent to be voided the next morning
1. Parking Ticket Voided Overnight: Grok Bot Built the Evidence Packet and Emailed the City
Beginner: easy, no coding · Source-linked: links to the original post · Home / Life Admin
He got a parking ticket in Albuquerque, took a few photos and handed them to Grok Bot with no instructions. It found grounds to contest the ticket, built an evidence packet, emailed the city before the deadline and kept checking for a reply. The next morning the city wrote back that it had sent the ticket to the Parking Supervisor to have it voided. He never opened a browser.

2. Poker Receipts to a Spreadsheet: He Built an App for It, Then Switched to Grok Bot
Beginner: easy, no coding · Source-linked: links to the original post · Money
A poker player who built BinkBook, an app that turns photos of tournament receipts into a dashboard, says Grok Bot now does the job better. He snaps a photo of a receipt and Grok Bot saves it to Google Drive, pulls out the casino, date, game type and buy-in, and logs it in a Google Sheet. His post includes a six-minute video of the setup.

3. Lawn Care Quotes Go Straight Into QuickBooks: The Owner Just Adds the Price
Intermediate: a bit of setup · Source-linked: links to the original post · Business ops
A lawn care and snow removal company in Quebec City used to retype every website quote request into QuickBooks before building the estimate. Now the form posts straight to n8n, the owner gets a notification with a short code and decides, and on his go n8n creates the customer in QuickBooks Online and drafts the estimate with the right service line and no price. He adds his price and sends it himself. It went live October 18 on n8n hosted on the company's own server.

4. Three Missed Calls Got No Text Back: The Three Fixes That Made His n8n Text-Back Work
Intermediate: a bit of setup · Source-linked: links to the original post · Sales
He built a missed-call text-back for an HVAC-style business with Twilio and n8n, then tested it and three calls got no text. Carrier voicemail answered after about 25 seconds, so he cut the ring timeout to 18 seconds and treats any 'completed' call under 10 seconds as missed. Landlines can't get texts, so a Twilio lookup now flags them for a callback. Panicked redialers got three identical texts, so he sends only one per 30 minutes and tells the owner 'called 3x, urgent'. Every missed test call now gets a text or a flagged callback in under a minute.

5. Reorder Reminders Timed to Each Wholesale Buyer's Own Cycle, Not a Flat 30 Days
Advanced: technical, uses coding tools · Source-linked: links to the original post · Sales
A flat 30-day reorder reminder is wrong for wholesale buyers: a cafe that orders every 10 days hears too late, and a 60-day distributor gets nagged early. This n8n workflow for Shopify works out each buyer's usual cycle from the median gap between their last 10 orders, adds a few grace days, skips anyone with an order that hasn't shipped yet, and lets sales reps turn reminders off per account. Errors go to one 'email me' branch instead of failing silently.

Parking Ticket Voided Overnight: Grok Bot Built the Evidence Packet and Emailed the City Copy this and paste it into Grok Bot:
I got a parking ticket in [city]. Here are photos of the ticket, the spot and any signs. Read the ticket and the city's appeal rules, tell me whether I have real grounds to contest it, and if I do, put together a short evidence packet. Show me the appeal email before you send it to the right city address, send it before the deadline, then keep an eye on my inbox and tell me when they reply. Try it in Grok Bot → |
