WHAT AGENTS CAN DO · DAILY PLAYBOOK
Issue #010 · Oct 24, 2026 · 5 min read
My favorite one today is a software engineer whose Grok Bot found a better deal on a flight he had already booked, called the airline to change the date and got the change fee dropped. Then it noticed the new date ran into his dentist appointment, called the dentist, moved it and updated his calendar. He figures that would have cost him an hour or more on hold.

2. Better Flight Deal, Change Fee Dropped, Dentist Moved: Grok Bot Made the Calls and Fixed His Calendar

Beginner: easy, no coding · Source-linked: links to the original post · Travel

He had a flight booked. Grok Bot found a better deal, called the airline to change the date and negotiated the change fee away. Then it noticed the new date clashed with a dentist appointment on his calendar, called the dentist, moved the appointment to a day that didn't conflict with the trip and updated his calendar. He says doing it himself would have meant an hour or more on hold being passed between reps.

1. £705 a Year Saved in 12 Hours: Grok Bot Found Paramount+ Billed Twice and 3 Forgotten Subscriptions

Beginner: easy, no coding · Source-linked: links to the original post · Money

Twelve hours after setting up Grok Bot as his finance assistant, a software developer had it go through six months of bank statements. It listed every bill he pays, found he was paying for Paramount+ twice, built him a budget, warned him that an Adobe subscription he doesn't use was about to double and cancelled it, and cancelled three subscriptions he'd forgotten about. His tally: £705 a year saved.

Every wire mapped, 2 different brands

3. Old Schneider VFD to New ABB Drive: An HVAC Tech Sent Grok Bot Photos and Got Every Wire's Landing Spot

Intermediate: a bit of setup · Source-linked: links to the original post · Business ops

An HVAC tech was swapping an old Schneider Altivar 212 variable frequency drive for a new ABB ACH580, two brands with completely different terminal layouts. In the field, he sent Grok Bot the model and serial numbers of both drives and a few photos of the existing wiring. It told him where every wire needed to land on the new drive and why. They hit one snag, so he sent the old drive's factory wiring diagram and everything lined up. He says digging through manuals and schematics can eat up hours.

4. 101-Second Narrated Video for $0.62: Claude Code Taught Itself Images, Voice, Music and FFmpeg From an Empty Folder

Intermediate: a bit of setup · Source-linked: links to the original post · Content

Starting from an empty folder and a fresh Claude Code session with three API keys, a video maker had it learn image generation, text-to-speech, music made in Python and FFmpeg editing, saving each working method as a skill. After 11 prompts and about an hour, it made a 101-second narrated space story with 10 illustrations, music and camera moves, and a costs.csv showing $0.62 spent. Every prompt is in the post, ready to copy.

5. Same Lead Scored 25 to 77: Why This n8n Workflow Skips AI Scoring When Enrichment Fails

Intermediate: a bit of setup · Source-linked: links to the original post · Sales

She built an n8n workflow that takes a web-form lead, enriches it with Apollo, has an OpenAI agent score it 0 to 80 as Hot, Warm or Cold, saves it to Airtable without duplicates, and alerts the team in Slack and Gmail. In testing, the same lead got scores anywhere from 25 to 77 when company data was missing. So if enrichment fails, the workflow now skips scoring, marks the lead 'Not Scored', still saves it and sends a separate Slack alert.

Here are my last [6] months of bank statements. List every recurring bill and subscription with the amount and how often it charges.
