WHAT AGENTS CAN DO · DAILY PLAYBOOK
Issue #011 · Oct 25, 2026 · 5 min read
My favorite one today is about medical bills. One person had Grok Bot read every insurance statement and bill since 2025, and it found mistakes he says he never would have caught. He's gotten about $1,000 back so far, and it's a job most of us put off for years.

About $1,000 reimbursed so far

1. About $1,000 Back on Wrongly Charged Medical Bills: Grok Bot Read His EOBs and Messaged the Billing Departments

Beginner: easy, no coding · Source-linked: links to the original post · Money

He had his home and health Grok Bot go through all his insurance explanation-of-benefits statements (EOBs) and medical bills going back to 2025. It found several incorrect codes he says he never would have caught, such as claims denied that should have been treated as in-network. He then had it sign in to his insurance and MyChart accounts and send messages to their billing departments. He says he has been reimbursed about $1,000 so far and is still working through the rest.

Beginner: easy, no coding · Source-linked: links to the original post · Travel

On a trip in Japan, a Tesla manufacturing worker used Grok Bot as his travel agent. It booked and rescheduled bus and train tickets, put together a custom itinerary for each day, and rebooked his return flights, saving $350 by reaching out to a United agent online. It also found small local spots near where he was, using its newer iPhone location features.

3. Same Task, 10 Claude Code Agents at Once: 50 Minutes and About $32 to See Where the AI Is Guessing

Advanced: technical, uses coding tools · Source-linked: links to the original post · Coding

A developer wanted to know what a coding agent would do if he asked it the same thing ten times. He built multirun, which runs one task through ten isolated Claude Code agents in parallel, each with its own git worktree and its own Postgres database branch, then compares what each one did. All ten agreed completely on the schema but split exactly 5 to 5 on two separate decisions, which showed him the sentences his task description was missing. The run took about 50 minutes and roughly $32 at API rates. He now uses it as a simple eval and before big decisions like a schema or auth design.

4. Retakes, Dead Air, B-roll and Captions Handled: Claude Code as a First-Pass Video Editor in DaVinci Resolve

Advanced: technical, uses coding tools · Source-linked: links to the original post · Content

A creator packaged the method he uses to have Claude Code do the first edit of YouTube vlogs and classes in DaVinci Resolve Studio as a set of free skills. You drop raw footage in a folder and say "edit the new video". Claude cuts retakes and dead air, keeps the B-roll, adds music, writes clean one-line captions, adds brand motion graphics and helps with the YouTube export, while you make the taste calls. Raw footage is never modified, it only adds new timelines in Resolve, and every piece of feedback you give is saved so the next video starts smarter. The repo passed 240 stars in its first two days.

5. After-Hours WhatsApp Assistant for a Study-Visa Consultancy: Answers in English, Hindi or Punjabi and Never Guesses Fees

Intermediate: a bit of setup · Source-linked: links to the original post · Sales

A builder made an n8n WhatsApp assistant that answers student questions for a study-visa consultancy after hours. It answers only from the consultancy's own material on services, documents, intakes and offices, and never makes up fees, test scores or visa chances; those go to a counsellor. It collects the student's name, service, country and best time to call one question at a time, replies in the student's own language (English, Hindi or Punjabi) and saves each lead to a table. He shares what tripped him up, including the AI telling students their details were saved when they weren't, until he told it to confirm only after the save worked.

Copy this and paste it into Grok Bot:

Here are my medical bills and insurance EOBs since [date]. Go through each one and flag anything that looks wrong: wrong billing codes, claims denied that should have been in-network, duplicate charges, or amounts that don't match what insurance says I owe. For each problem, show me the line, why you think it's wrong and what I should be refunded. After I approve, draft a short message to the right billing department and send it through my [insurer / patient portal] account. Keep a running list of what's been reimbursed.
