What they did

A personal finance site owner built a free, open n8n workflow that suggests what to write next. Every Monday it reads seed keywords from a Google Sheet, pulls Google Autocomplete suggestions and trending Reddit questions, skips topics they've already covered, and asks Gemini in one call for 10 scored ideas. It logs them to the sheet and sends the top 5 to Telegram with an Approve button, and a tap marks the topic approved. They're upfront that the scores are AI estimates from free public signals, not real search volumes, and list the bugs that cost them an evening.

How it went

n8n community post by the builder (Oct 29, 2026): weekly workflow reading seed keywords from Google Sheets, Google Autocomplete, Reddit RSS, existing titles to avoid duplicates, one batched Gemini call returning 10 scored ideas, top 5 to Telegram with Approve buttons; second workflow marks approvals; lists 5 gotchas; scores are AI estimates, not measured volumes. Prompt

Cleaned version rewritten from the source — not a direct quote.

You're my content topic scout for [site] about [niche]. Here are my seed keywords, Google Autocomplete suggestions for each, recent questions from [communities], and the titles of posts I've already published. Suggest 10 new topics I haven't covered. For each, give a working title, the question it answers, a 1-10 score for how much people seem to want it, a rough difficulty guess and one line on why. Treat the scores as estimates from these signals only, not search volumes. Return JSON only, sorted by score.

12 of 20 Prompt Injections Worked on His n8n Email Bot, Then 0 of 60: Let Code Make the Decisions, Not the Model

He built an n8n workflow where a small local model reads customer emails and decides priority, refunds and replies, then attacked it with 20 injection emails, 3 runs each. 12 of 20 worked on the plain version (35 of 60 runs), and the usual 'don't follow instructions in the email' prompt made it slightly worse (13 of 20). Taking every decision away from the model fixed it: the model only fills in a form, and a code step strips hidden HTML, keeps secrets out of the prompt and decides what happens. That got 0 of 60. The cost: only 19 of 36 normal emails were answered automatically, down from 31.
