What they did

He had Grok Bot research and book his family's holiday flights for next year, and it picked the seats too.

How it went

Family holiday flights for next year booked, with seats chosen.

Worth knowing

  • X post by @YodasMyDad (Oct 26, 2026 Denver time): Grok Bot researched and booked his family's holiday flights for next year and picked the seats.
  • Double-check that names match passports exactly. Kids' seats may need to be next to an adult, so confirm them in the airline app.

Prompt

Cleaned version rewritten from the source — not a direct quote.

Find flights for [N adults, N kids] from [origin] to [destination], leaving [dates] and returning [dates], budget [amount]. Compare total price including bags and seat fees, layovers and change policy, then show me the top 3. After I pick one, book it with our saved traveler details and choose seats together for the family. Ask me before you pay, submit, send or cancel anything.

Ask your bot for a security review of an email that passed every check

An email from [email protected] landed in a Tesla engineer's inbox. It passed SPF, DKIM and DMARC (the checks that confirm who sent an email) and showed the blue check, but something felt off, so he asked his Grok Bot to do a security review. It found a hidden phishing link, explained why every safety check had passed, and wrote a report to xAI with a proposed fix. He then had it add a security routine that checks his email for anything phishy going forward.
